Elon Musk just pulled back the curtain on what could be one of the biggest taxpayer scams in American history, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
Under President Trump’s newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk and his team have identified a staggering $100 billion in wasteful spending buried within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Musk’s revelation, which sent shockwaves through Washington, came after his DOGE team was granted read-only access to CMS’s payment and contracting systems. These systems handle health insurance for nearly one in four Americans, making them a critical part of the federal budget.
The agency, confirming the collaboration, stated that two senior CMS officials—one focused on policy, the other on operations—have been working alongside DOGE to “ensure appropriate access to CMS systems and technology.”
But what started as a mission to identify cost-saving measures has escalated into something far more damning.
Musk didn’t mince words when he took to X on Wednesday, bluntly stating: “This is where the big money fraud is happening.”

Later, on Thursday night, he dropped the hammer: “They wasted $100B of taxpayer money!”

Musk’s claim isn’t coming out of thin air. CMS, an agency responsible for over one billion Medicare claims annually, is tasked with overseeing healthcare quality and managing billions in federal matching funds for state-run Medicaid programs.
Yet, year after year, fraud and inefficiencies bleed the system dry.
Recent data highlights the scale of the problem. From June 2024 to October 2024, CMS suspended 850 agents and brokers suspected of fraudulently enrolling individuals in plans without consent or switching policies to generate commissions.
These bad actors were promptly barred from participating in the healthcare marketplace.
And the corruption doesn’t stop there. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has been aggressively prosecuting healthcare fraud, and the numbers are jaw-dropping.

In June 2024, the DOJ charged 193 defendants, including 76 medical professionals, for their roles in schemes that racked up $2.75 billion in fraudulent claims.
The trend isn’t new—since 2007, federal investigators have gone after more than 5,400 fraudsters, uncovering a mind-boggling $27 billion in fraudulent Medicare and Medicaid billing.
Now that Musk has aired this $100 billion bombshell, the big question is: what’s the government going to do about it?

President Trump’s administration launched DOGE specifically to root out waste and corruption, but if Musk’s findings hold up, this could be one of the most explosive scandals in recent memory.
Democrats, predictably, will try to downplay or ignore the issue, as they always do when the federal bureaucracy is exposed for its failures.
But with Musk’s involvement and Trump’s track record of cutting government bloat, this could be the beginning of a massive shake-up in how Washington spends taxpayer dollars.
One thing is clear: The swamp is deeper than we thought, and if Musk is right, Americans have been ripped off for far too long.

May God bless this administration and America.
The shocking thing about this fraud is the ease with which that Mr. Elon Musk is exposing the obscene volume of corruption and waste.
WHERE are the people supposedly monitoring the system to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse?
If Mr. Musk and his team were to be awarded 1% of the wasted and stolen money they have uncovered, they could buy the moon.
